Get your pennies ready because we finally have an official opening date for L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon - Friday 25 March 2016.


This will be the first Robuchon restaurant in Mainland China with others spanning the globe, all boasting Michelin stars aplenty. The man behind the brand is famed French chef Joël Robuchon (pictured below) who has a seemingly endless list of credentials, including having won Chef of the Year in 1987 and Chef of the Century in 1990.


Executive Chef Francky Semblat (former Chef de Cuisine at Robuchon au Dȏme, Hotel Lisboa Macau) will be preparing the renowned signature dishes on the menu and has 19 years experience working with the brand.



Opening in Bund18, the Atelier's take over of the floor has seemingly taken an age. Now finally ready to face the public, the interior features a cool black and red colour scheme, as well as ‘the largest teppanyaki in Asia’, with 32 seats surrounding an open kitchen; another 16 seats are available at separate tables. And, as ever, there’ll be three private rooms for those with some extra cash to splash.

And if you don’t manage to get a table or are fearful of the cost (his other restaurants aren't exactly cheap), you can always check out the ground floor of Bund18 where you'll find two more Robuchon concepts: the Salon de Thé and La Boutique.
