Architect Dame Zaha Hadid, whose work includes some of the world's most iconic buildings, died in Miami yesterday at the age of 65.
Hadid suffered a sudden heart attack on Thursday after being admitted to hospital for bronchitis a week earlier.
The British-Iraqi designer was the first woman to receive the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and the Royal British Institute of Architects gold medal.
Known as the 'queen of the curve', the world-renowned architect was recognised for her sleek, neofuturistic buildings – many of which are in various cities around China.
In her honour, below are some of her amazing buildings in the Mainland in drool-inducing pictures. Zaha may no longer be with us, but her incredible structures will live long in the memory.

Beijing International Airport Terminal 1
This structure will be the main terminal at the airport being built 30 miles south of Beijing, currently known as Daxing Airport, which is due to be completed in 2018. The airport is expected to become the busiest in the world, which is no surprise considering the structure will be the biggest airport terminal in the world. The 7.5 million sqm space will process around 125,000 passengers a day when fully operational.

Wangjing Soho
One of Beijing's most striking buildings, Wangjing Soho officially opened in 2014. Hadid said it was intended to be both 'a welcome and farewell to Beijing'.

Galaxy Soho
This Soho complex of shops and offices was designed as a modern riff on the classic Beijing courtyard and its 'immersive, enveloping experience'.

Guangzhou Opera House
Hadid's 'double pebble' design for the Guangzhou cultural centre, completed in 2010, cost 1.38 billion RMB. Worth every jiao.

Changsha Meixihu International Culture and Arts Center
The landmark cultural centre in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, is currently in the pipeline. Let's hope we see it come to fruition. It's a beaut.

City of Dreams Hotel Tower, Macau
Okay, so not technically in the Mainland, but this incredible hotel in Macau is worthy of inclusion for its insane Bird's Nest Stadium-like mesh. The structure is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2017.
