Located in the western Gansu Province, Jinchang is known as the Nickle Capital of China for the rich Nickle reserves. It is also awarded as the first and only National City of Civilization in Gansu Province.

Compared with the similar ore deposit, the Nickle reserve of Jinchuan Copper Sulfide Nickle ore deposit ranks second in  the world and first in Asia. Jinchang was entitled as the Golden Baby of China by the former Premier Deng Xiaoping.

Nickle Capital pioneers made their first pot of gold in the Jinchuan Outdoor Mining Pit, which features as the magical creation by human beings together with nature. Located in the National Mining Park, the largest artificial mining pit with the highest altitude of 1640 meters, is deemed as the most fascinating scenic spot in northwest China.
