Canadian comedian Russell Peters is bringing his Almost Famous tour to Shanghai in February.
Peters, known for his lampooning of racial, ethnic and cultural stereotypes, has sold out arenas across the globe with his stand up and has now been booked for a date at the Shanghai Centre Theatre in Jingan. Promoters claim that the show makes Peters 'the first top rank international standup comedian to perform in Mainland China'.
Tickets are on sale now via the damai.cn website - you can find the link by clicking 'read more' below.
And if you can't be bothered to sit through the above video, here are a few lines from Peters that made it to Time Out New York's Joke of the Week section a while back:
When my ex-wife was pregnant, people would come up to her and say: 'Oh my God, you're pregnant? What a miracle!' ...My ex-wife is Latina and I'm Indian - it's not a miracle she got pregnant, we come from the two most fertile races on the planet. She got pregnant, and we didn't even have sex. I just sent her a text: 'Baby, I'm coming home.' Her: 'All I saw was coming!'
