It might seem as though there is nowhere to go and nothing to do this Chinese New Year. But don't despair! Quite a smattering of places are trading during the week-long national holiday.
If you're stuck in Shanghai this CNY, check out our handy list of places that are open.
Drinking hole Sasha's in Xuhui will be open through the whole of CNY, as will Jingan hangout The Rooster.
Shanghai Brewery is open through the holiday, and will be showing the Super Bowl bright and early on Monday 8 Feb, as will sports bar Cages, which is also offering a breakfast New Year buffet.
Various restaurants are open and offering Chinese New Year banquets and special meals, including Hakkasan and From a Chinese Cookbook. See the full list of CNY dinners on our website.
BottlesXO will be delivering that much-needed booze throughout the whole festival, although they're giving their normal delivery crew a rest, and on 7 and 8 February, the marketing team and owners will be hand-delivering your bottles. Delivery times for both days are 4-10pm, and the team can't promise their regular 'one-hour' delivery window, but are committed to keeping you hydrated, so will do their best.
Home food delivery service Sherpa's will also be open throughout the whole period (although we can't guarantee which restaurants will be).
And if you're sick of eating and drinking, Kerry Sports in Pudong will be open for the whole of CNY, so there's no excuse not to don your trainers.
Finally, most of the malls will be open, although some individual stores might not be - iAPM, K11, Xintiandi Style and IFC Pudong all told us they were planning to be open throughout the holiday.
