Shanghai might feel a long way from the Emerald Isle, but that doesn't mean the city is forgetting the most popular of saints' days. There are of course a range of drinks deals and special events taking place across the city to help you get your Irish on.

Stop by Liquid Laundry for a two-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17 and 18 and indulge yourself with all-day happy hour on their Lucky Leprechaun Lager while chowing down some delicious Irish staples. And if you come in green, a sampler of the green lager is on the house.
Liquid Laundry is at Second Floor, K Wah Centre, 1028 Huaihai Zhong Lu, near Donghu Lu, Xuhui district.
All Shanghai Brewery locations have specials on 500ML Hand-Crafted Stouts, shots of Jameson, and succulent lamb. A range of beers and shots from 35RMB, Irish coffee for 40RMB and food offers too.

Stop by Boxing Cat Brewery (all three locations) for a two-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17 and 18 and indulge with an all-day happy hour on special Lucky Leprechaun Lager, while chowing down on some delicious Irish staples including corned beef with vegetables, stout braised shepherds pie, and a mint-chocolate chip ice cream milkshake.

The sidewalk taco and beer stand from the owners of neighbouring Sumerian Café is reopening for Paddy's, capturing the spirt of the day with their event 'I'm not Irish but I'm drunk anyway' on Thursday. From 4pm to late they're offering Jameson Leprechauns and Westwood Ale's for 25RMB a pop. Bargain.

The Irish-themed pub is hosting what ought to be a jolly big St. Patrick's Day party with live Irish music, and we'll hazard a guess there'll be plenty of drinking too.
