Occupying the cavernous former aircraft hanger that is now known as the West Bund Art Center, Shanghai Art & Design 2016: Trans-Design is a sprawling collection of sculpture, photography, video and installation alongside product samples and designs that range from the practical to the fanciful - all curated by abstract master Ding Yi.
Having opened last week, the exhibition is on for two months and is free to get into (you just have to follow the organisers on WeChat), meaning there's little excuse not to make a trip down to the waterfront site. There's a lot on show and it's well worth spending a good hour or so wandering around, but here are some of our favourite bits:
