Tomorrow (Tuesday March 8) is International Women's Day, and Shanghai is offering a number of ways to mark the occasion, whether you're looking to hear about the state of gender equality in China from a member of the UN or after a whole day of fun and games.
Tonight (Monday) the Foreign Correspondents Club is hosting a talk by Julie Broussard, the head of UN Women China. She'll be discussing women’s place in the world’s largest country, and future challenges in achieving gender equality in China. Both members and non-members are welcome; the price includes two drinks and snacks. The talk starts at 7pm at The Tavern bar and grill costing 50RMB for members and 150RMB for non-members.
