Shanghai has another street artist painting its walls this week, just a few weeks after Seth (also known as Globepainter or Julien Malland) was in town to brighten up our city. Under the Art+ programme, Malland has invited 15 artists from around the world to paint the walls of schools in developing areas of China and the first project sees Italian street artist Millo daubing the side of a kindergarten in Pudong this week.

The mural shows a boy lying between a number of buildings, which Millo says is inspired by the clash between the modern contemporary city and the human being. 'We live in a world of concrete but inside we are kind of soft,' says the artist.
Work started last Sunday in the Zhangjiang area of the city and Millo expects to complete the piece in a couple more days, depending on the weather. After this, he is travelling to Suzhou to paint the wall of a rural school.

Catch Millo's work in progress this week at Zhangjiang Classic Kindergarten, 428 Xiangnan Lu, Pudong. 浦东香楠路428号
