The King's Singers
Saturday 21, Shanghai Concert Hall, 80-480RMB
Originally the brainchild of six choral scholars at King’s College, Cambridge University, this 48-year old ensemble is still the first name in a cappella music. The King’s Singers have a 150-strong discography and have commissioned over 200 pieces. Most astounding is their repertoire, which ranges from plain chant to contemporary pop; they have also juxtaposed the works of Renaissance composer Carlo Gesualdo with Rat Pack standards. And their beat box renditions are as flexible as their honeyed voices.

Chen Tianzhuo's Trayastrimsa
From Saturday 21, K11
Chen Tianzhuo's new exhibition will mix various media, from traditional painting and video to installation and performance as the artist uses colourful, brash imagery to indiscriminately comment on controversial themes shared by a global youth culture. The show's opening will feature a performance on Saturday evening, for which Chen has promised 'absolute chaos' - don't miss.
