[Ad] 2016 Allison Jiang Violin Recital

Allison Jiang, a 12-year-old Chinese American violinist, is about to hold her violin recital on 10 September 2016 at Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

Allison Jiang who was born in Chicago, USA, began her violin study at 4 years old with Corina Lobont at Depaul University School of Music CMD in Chicago. She has beenstudying with Desiree Ruhstrat, the violinist of Grammy nominated Lincoln Trio since 2012.

Allison made her solo debut at the age of seven with Oistrach Symphony Orchestra in Chicago. She was the youngest first violin of Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras’ Preparatory Strings. At the age of eight she was invited to a solo performance at CarnegieHall. In 2014, Allison won the First Prize and Judge’s Distinction Award of American Protégé International Music Talent Competition.

Allison has performed at many venues internationally. She has performed at Carnegie WeillRecital Hall, DePaul Concert Hall, Northwestern University, Northern Illinois University and Shanghai Oriental Art Center. She also performed solo andchamber music in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Steinway Artist James Brawn, a renowned British pianist will be collaborating with Allison Jiang in this recital. British violinist Patrick Sabberton and Tony Sabberton, both graduated from Royal Academy of Music, will also perform as guest artists.

A feast for lovers of classical music, this program features Mozart's violin sonata in GMajor and some virtuoso pieces by Kreisler, Sarasate and Saint-Saens. It also includes a movement from Butterfly Lovers and three duets by Shostakovich.
