Peyton manning is coming to chat a good game this weekend

One of the NFL's most fearsome quarterbacks of recent years, Peyton Manning will be in town this weekend to share his extensive knowledge of American Football with Chinese (and expatriate) fans. The decorated former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos player, who's tipped to become a Hall Of Fame member as soon as he's eligible in 2021, will be touring China with scheduled stops including Shanghai and Beijing.

On Sunday September 25, he will take part in 'An Afternoon with Peyton Manning', a fan forum where he will be answering questions from selected fans. Fans can apply to attend by registering online on NFL China's WeChat account (NFLChina). The venue for the forum hasn't been announced yet (we will update this blog when it has), but it will also be streamed online live - again, the specifics are yet to be announced.

The NFL is attempting to grow its fanbase in China, and has apparently achieved over 1000% growth over the past five years. Being the first NFL player to grace Gatorade bottles in China, Manning will be doing his part to impart his legendary quarterback-passing game to the winners of Gatorade China's 'One Pass to Fame' programme around cities in China. Manning will work with five lucky winners to hone their passing skills before they depart for Wembley Stadium, London to take part in the half-time challenge during the Indiana Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars' exhibition game on October 2.
