This summer's Wavey Cruise Music Festival has been cancelled due to 'unforeseeable circumstances', organisers announced yesterday.
The floating music festival, which was due to depart Shanghai on August 24 with headliners including Kode9, had only recently announced their full line-up but today issued a statement saying the festival has been cancelled due to their application for a beach party in Busan being denied.
'Due to unforeseeable circumstances out of our control we unfortunately have to cancel the 2016 WAVEY Cruise Music Festival', organisers told Time Out. 'The application to hold our beach party in Busan has been revoked, therefore we are unable to continue due to the new ship scheduling and itinerary conflicts. This is devastating news for us.'
Wavey have promised to refund all tickets purchased through their official channels within 24 hours. Those who have purchased tickets from other sellers should contact the ticketing agent for refunds, and Wavey will also refund any commission or fees.
