[Ad] Scream VIP night with Time Out

This summer, Shanghai is hosting its first ever dark thriller-themed carnival. Scream Shanghai is made up of three different styles of haunted house, respectively mirroring the three best-selling Thai horror films - Pee Mak, Shutter and Countdown. Each haunted house recreates the actual movie sets and will make the audience feel like they are in the horror movie.

POPPER, the coolest event organizer and the hippest urban creative platform, joining together with Angle Communications, have brought to Shanghai the first ever dark thriller themed Carnival –Scream, produced by three classic Thai horror film teams, including two well-known directors and the original set production team who restored the scenes in the films.  By capturing the essence of the horror experiences and using psychology, it makes the audience feel like they are in the horror movies.

There are three haunted houses, two of which are indoors, and the other (Count Down) is built within 14 containers using 4D technology, and all of movie set quality, produced in Thailand and transported to Shanghai.  The scenes were produced in the best effect of restored reality.

"Pee Mak” house - taking you back to the Bangkok Dynasty

The film itself tells the story from the Bangkok Dynasty (in the 1950s Thailand) of a ghost-human relationship, adapted from the famous Thai folktale, in which the lead charactor is known as Mario. To achieve the best experience of period, the house presents more than 20 scenes including Thai caves, temples, tombs, battlefield, emergency camps, Takashimaya, markets, and playgrounds.

Fun fact: this house is entered by boat.

"Shutter" - Horror photo studio thriller that takes your breath away

A classic Thai thriller film rated as a Top 10 classic horror film by thriller movie fans. This house is the most haunted, the most complexed, and one of the most thrilling experiences to be had.  There are more than 30 scenes in the haunted house, and every scene will be an unforgettable experience that you can’t miss. Feeling the adrenaline?

"Count down” - Container apartment under crazy illusion

The film is about three rebellious young people in NewYork. On New Year's Eve, they took drugs and had hallucinations, thus suffered from a hunting nightmare. This is the first time in China a haunted house has used 14 containers to build an American apartment. For the best effect, 3D glasses will be provided at the entrance for a psychedelic 4D experience.
