Neutral Sex

Saturday 22-Thursday 10 November, Noeli Gallery, Free

Along with a whole host of other great art exhibitions you have to see right now, this week the Noeli Gallery opens their latest exhibition, Neutral Sex. In artist Wang Xuejun's first solo photography show, the series explores the diversity of gender, with close attention to the social behaviours and roles of the different groups in today's society. The images aim to challenge traditional perceptions of gender, and it's sure to be a striking and thought-provoking show.

Corona Sunsets Festival

Saturday 22, Cube House, Free

This Pudong beach-themed Storm spin-off has Sam Feldt, Sigala, The Him and Jose Padilla on the line-up. Entry is free but you'll need to scan Corona's QR code first. Elsewhere, there's Last Supper feat. Lee Holman at Arkham on Friday, and experimental electronica at The Shelter on Saturday with 云CLOUD presents Lotic.

Wuzhen Theatre Festival 2016

Thursday 13-Saturday 22, Wuzhen (various venues)

China's most exciting theatre festival is back, set against the beautiful backdrop of Wuzhen water town. Performance is everywhere, and you can wander along the canals surround by giant puppets, earnest actors, or Peking opera performers. Excellent Nanjing noise-rock outfit Streets Kill Strange Animals return to Shanghai as part of an extensive China tour in support of their new album McDonalds Kids.

Shanghai Fashion Week

Until Thursday 20, Taipinghu Park Xintiandi

The city's biggest fashion event continues this week, and although most runway shows are sadly closed to the public, you can still check out different pop-up stores and exhibits around the Xintiandi area. Spanish designer CeliaB has an exciting pop-up showroom and DFO International have put together a collective exhibit of 50 global designers, to ensure you can get your Shanghai Fashion Week fix.

Get down to Kerry Parkside this weekend for a free celebration of global food, drink, music and arts - with some carnival fun and pampering thrown in on the side. Performance highlights include Shanghai Circus and DJ Cavia.
