Stella Artois introduced its globally recognized campaign ‘Buy A Lady A Drink’ at Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Amtournament for the first time in China, bringing together celebrities from various parts of the world to Hainan island.
Michael Douglas, Allen Iverson and Jay Chou left their signatures and marks on the Chalice to express their full support to the campaign.

The 'Buy A Lady A Drink' program originated in the US, and was launched by Stella Artois and Water.org incooperation with Matt Damon. It was designed to provide drinking water for women in developing countries and improve their quality of life.

According to the statistics, women indeveloping countries spend 200 million hours in total collecting water fortheir family every day. In response to this phenomenon, Stella Artois sells its beer Chalice through auction and uses the money raised to provide five years of clean drinking water for women in need.

Moreover, the Chalice was specially designed by famous artists in various cities of the world. It utilized the special characteristics from all the supported countries of the 'Buy A Lady A Drink' campaign. Last year, the decorative patterns of the three versions of the Chalice were inspired by the fabrics in India, jars from Honduras and woven baskets from Ethiopia. This year, the design combined the special and elegant elements from Haiti, Kenya and Peru. The Chalice not only brings cleaning water to women, but also allows women to spend more quality time and leave more possibilities for them to make more money for their families.

From November 10th to 13th, the Chalice Carrousel was displayed at the ART021 Contemporary Art Fair, developed by Shanghai Exhibition Center. The Chalice Carrousel was constituted by 180 Chalices, 3 meters tall and 1.5 meters wide, standing at the hall with dazzling brightness. It embodies the spirit of ‘Buy A Lady A Drink’ and serves as the ambassador to call for people’s substantial action to together with Stella stop the long and painstaking water-carrying journey of those ladies suffering from water sufficiency. It attracted and moved a lot visitors to stop for appreciation.

The 2016ART021 brought together thousands of selected contemporary artworks from 84 top galleries. Artists like Thomas Houseago, Richard Serra, Zeng Fanzhi, as well as Murakami Takashi showed their sincerity through their artworks.

Stella Artois brought Chalice with love and art to ART021, with the help of many contemporary artworks to call the public to 'Buy A Lady A Drink'. Art can be endlessly passed through preservation and the change of life, while the power of public welfare can also be spread through love and give birth to the next generation. The collaboration between 'Buy A Lady A Drink' and ART021 is a combination of supporting art and the inheritance of love.
