Everyone likes cocktails, right? And everyone likes apps. So isn't it about time that someone combined the two? Well, the self-confessed tech-geeks and cocktail-lovers at 17Hi have done just that. Hell yeah.
The app is a Shanghai-based club for people who want good cocktails and want to know where to find them. The 17Hi team has curated a collection of some of the top bars and bartenders around the city and, from the looks of it, are bound to have something you're looking for. Sweet, bitter, sour, refreshing – you should be in for a treat.
Ever growing, 17Hi's list of partner bars currently includes gems like Shake, Tailor Bar, Tour and Taste Buds Cocktail Palace, plus a few beer and wine bars, too. Membership will cost you 99RMB per month, which entitles you to a cocktail on the house everyday from one of 17Hi's partner bars. Given that a single cocktail in this city can cost you more than the membership fee, it seems quite the deal. Keep in mind that you're limited to two free drinks from the same bar each month, however, so don't expect to be drinking your local dry.
The 17Hi app features a map, clearly pinpointing the location of all their partner bars, so you'll always know where to get your nearest cocktail-fix. Tapping a bar takes you to a detailed information page that includes professional photographs, essential details such as opening hours and telephone number, and also allows you to view the bar's three drinks specifically crafted for 17Hi members, as well as redeem your free welcoming drink.
The app works between 5pm and midnight and is available on iOS and shortly on Android.
