Hi there Time Out readers, I'm Layla, a lovely girl looking for a forever home. I know, I'm uber cute. You probably can't even stand how adorable I am. Not gonna lie, I'm super soft and cuddly as well.
I came to People For Pets from Lujiazui, where I was admired and eyed by many for my lovely golden coat, which people saw as a sure sign that I would make a very tasty meal. That's right, I was in serious danger of ending up in some devil's hotpot. Can you believe that? Luckily some rescuers spotted me just as I was being considered as a dinner option.

They brought me to a safe place and had me spade and vaccinated, and then something great happened. Two wonderful people brought me into their home, where I became best friends with their other doggy children. But it didn't last long, because some nasty neighbors called the police and complained that there were too many of us. Apparently having too much fun is a crime these days! I had to move again.

Now I'm with a nice foster family and another new furry sibling, and I just love them and they love me too. But it's only temporary, and I'm waiting for someone to adopt me so that I can truly call a place home, and never ever have to leave again. You could be the one to change my life - I know if you take me home, I'll change yours forever. Come on, just look at this face.

If you want to adopt me or one of my many Shanghai friends that need homes, please contact the humans at People for Pets using the info below. You can also help out by being a foster for pets in need, which is cost-free to volunteers.
