Founder of Yoruba records and with just the 14 albums to his name, Osunlade is something of a house music legend. He’s seen by many as one of the most gifted producers of soul/funk-infused house. And he got his big break on...Sesame Street. Who knew?

Mr. Ho
DADA regulars 12" of Fun bring Hong Kong native DJ and music collector Mr. Ho to Shanghai. After a seven-year-long diaspora in Europe - holding residencies at clubs like Ohm and Tape in Berlin and Batofar in Paris, Mr. Ho aka Michael Ho moved back to his hometown Hong Kong in 2016. He'll lay down his house and techno releases on Clone, ESP Institute or his own label Klasse records alongside Lindberg and Tobias Patrick.

Room 303 presents Ocean Lam
The monthly hosted by MIIIA dedicated to outer space tripping, acid bassline illusions, and techno welcomes Ocean Lam, one of the leaders in Hong Kong's electronic music scene. A former resident at Yumla, she then founded two long-running nights at Bassment Bar as well as Hypnotic. She is also music director for Social Room, a new underground club in HK run by the original Bassment crew. She's had big slots at Clockenflap for three years running. Chinese-Canadian producer MIIIA joins her on the bill.

James Adomian
James Adomian is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and impressionist. He is best known for his work on Comedy Bang! Bang!, Last Comic Standing and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson where he impersonated President George W. Bush until 2009. He voices Talking Ben in the Talking Tom and Friends animated series.

The Prodigal Son Returns
Grunge band frontman-turned-folkie Bai Yu joins fellow multi-instrumentalist Annie Hsu for a show to mark the release of the latter’s new album, Colour Blind. Both specialise in sultry, carefully crafted folk music that shifts between sparse acoustic numbers and lushly produced emotive sounds.

Harley's Rock
Excellent ska band The Molemen head up the latest Shanghai-based band showcase at Harley's, with indie-rockers Revival and rawk outfit Limousine also on the bill.

Drink for A Drop in the Ocean
District Bar & Kitchen partners with charitable organisation A Drop in the Ocean for a night of live music and drink specials to raise awareness and funds for refugees in Greece. 50 percent of the entrance fee and 20 percent of drink specials will be donated to the charity that works closesly with the Skaramagas refugee camp outside Athens. Shiny Shoes presents Jane Fitz
For Shiny Shoes' first 2017 jam they invite UK party-starting vinyl-digging legend Jane Fitz. A DJ for over 20 years, Fitz is resident at the iconic UK festival Freerotation and London party Night Moves. She's crafted a strong reputation from DJing alone and plays a hard-to-categorise mix of music that can take in early UK acid tracks, deep spacey house, modern psychedelic techno or ambient textures. Ought to be a good one.

Tung Chieh-Chuang & SSO
Tung-Chieh Chuang is the celebrated winner of the International Malko Competition 2015 in Copenhagen. The 34-year-old Taiwanese conductor stood out amongst a large field of candidates to win this prestigious award. Previously, Mr Chuang had already won a prize and the Audience Award at the Solti Competition Frankfurt. He is also a winner of the Gustav Mahler Competition in Bamberg and the Jeunesse Musicales Conducting Competition Bucharest.

NTS broadcast + vinyl market and swap
It's another Sunday afternoon NTS broadcast at Elevator, this time with sets from DJs Naaah, R3, China Social Club and Lindberg. There's also a vinyl record market and swap shop organised by the folks at Uptown records specialising in Chinese records. Lots of '60s, '70s and '80s Canto and Mando pop, plus more recent stuff coming out of China. You can bring down records to sell or swap for no fee.

A night of music from the Africa Millenial Quartet – comprised of four performers whose day job is singing for Disney's The Lion King spectacular.

Songs from the Motherland of Africa
A known Bach interpreter, Martin Stadfeld won the 2002 Leipzig Bach Competition, and released an acclaimed Bach CD two years later. The programme includes Chaconne (Stadfeld trans), Bach’s Goldberg Variations with 14 integrated canons and others.
