Shanghai sights including Lujiazui and Shouning Lu food street are on show in all their glory in a new video by Apple for their 'One Night on Earth' campaign.
The video includes photos and footage by Shanghai-based photographer Jennifer Bin, who is best known for her 'rooftopping' work on Instagram capturing stunning Shanghai cityscapes from perilous heights and whom we recently profiled in 'The New Shanghai: 12 creatives set to shape our city in 2017 and beyond'.
The video finishes with stunning timelapse footage of the Lujiazui skyline emerging from rolling clouds.
'The clouds rolling in on Lujiazui was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed,' Bin says. 'We were pretty tired from the shoot as we had been up all day and night. We were just sitting there waiting for sunrise, and we started to notice very low clouds gather on the river and at the base of buildings. Soon, more and more started rolling in from the east and very soon the river and the ground were carpeted with the clouds, with the buildings sticking out of the fog. It was the first time I had ever witnessed something like this in Shanghai. We know it’s very very rare and almost never happens here.'
