Cocktail Cinema by Social Supply Shanghai is a monthly event for film enthusiasts to get together to enjoy good films and awesome drinks in unique spaces around the city. If you missed it last month, fret not, here's your second chance. Next Tuesday (April 25), Social Supply will be screening Catch Me if You Can.
The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen and Nathalie Baye, is a Steven Spielberg classic from 2002. Drawing inspiration from a true story, the film's about Frank Abagnae Jr. (DiCaprio), who before the age of 19 had successfully performed a series of cons earning him fraudulent cheques worth millions of dollars after posing as a Pan Am pilot, a legal prosecutor, a surgeon and more. FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Hanks) makes it his personal mission to bring Frank to justice, and the two get caught in a globe-trotting game of cat and mouse. Exciting stuff.
Alongside this month's screening, sample cocktails are prepared by Daniel An, the owner of Shrine cocktail bar and Taste Buds Cocktail Palace. Tickets are 220RMB per person and include three drinks.
