Get in touch with nature and your healthy side at international vegan festival Plantopia. It's a three-day al fresco festival brought to you by Shanghai's vegan community and will be taking place at Yuexing Shopping Centre's rooftop garden this weekend.
The mega-fest is set to feature 20 themes, including vegan lifestyle, zen organising, TCM, animal protection, and floriculture. There will also be live music and dance performances, an organic market, a home-grown vegetable garden, documentary screenings and cultural exhibitions.

Potentially the most vegan thing you'll ever go to - unless you get invited for dinner at Al Gore's house or go on holiday with Moby, at Plantopia you can also try your hand at dyeing clothes using plants at Xingen Farming's workshop (11am-5pm on May 1), take part in yoga and tai chi classes (including 'laughter yoga' at 4-5pm on May 1) and attend cooking and nutrition demonstrations (including a demo from Sprout Lifestyle's Kimberly Ashton on April 30, 12.30pm-2.15pm).
There will also be a series of presentations from experts in the field of veganism, including 'The true cost of food' by international vegan educator and chef Karley Ray (10.30am-11.30am on April 29) and 'Veganism, the next giant leap in human evolution' by scientist Dr Rasaviharii (10.30am-11am on April 30).

Plantopia is at Yuexing Shopping Centre on 168 Aomen Lu from April 28 to May 1. From 10am. Free.
