If you’re into both food and unconventional accessories then look no further than Delicious Shanghai. This brand new ceramic jewellery brand has been developed by an effortlessly cool quartet of Shanghai-based Italian designers – who also just so happen to be the masterminds behind Italo-trash club night, Rossetto. Blending sophistication with just a touch of Eastern kitsch, Delicious offers funky Chinese and Italian food-inspired pendants ideal for statement accessorising of both casual and formal looks.

Sitting in the pipeline for over a year, Delicious was born after an unsuccessful search for the perfect ceramic leaving gift for one of the team’s friends. Despite China’s long-established reputation for quality ceramics, finding original concept designs was almost impossible. The foursome decided to take matters into their own hands, conceptualising an initiative to create beautifully designed and expertly crafted jewellery with unique East-meets-West designs.

Drawing on their experience in the design and fashion industries, the Delicious team has sourced high-quality raw materials and expert craftsmanship to produce their jewellery. The pendants are manufactured by Mr Huang, an experienced ceramic artisan based in Jingdezhen – China’s ceramic capital in northeastern Jiangxi province – whose expertise is the secret ingredient that ensures highquality pieces.

The Delicious capsule collection is comprised of four statement pieces that draw from the strong culinary traditions of both China and Italy. Elegant lotus root slices and jiaozi represent typical Chinese dishes, while bowtie pasta and ice-lollies playfully reference Italian cuisine. Each pendant will set you back 235RMB and includes a colourful heavy-pile cotton thread of your choosing.
