It's starting to heat up in Shanghai, and we know you've been making the most out of it by enjoying the city's best al fresco happy hours. But if you're fancying a slightly more active (and cheaper) way of spending some time outside, the new developments at Century Park might be right up your street. Recently opened to the public, there are two new 5km trails around the park, one for running and one for walking, so you can enjoy some exercise and a day out all while taking it at your own pace.
The twin tracks have been well received so far and are said to be a new favourite of many a Shanghai jogger. People young and old, fast and slow can now enjoy a lap of the park without the fear of getting in each other's way. The park has also improved the lighting around the tracks so if you enjoy exercising at night, you can go for a jog/walk after dark and still feel safe and at ease.
Along with the construction of the new tracks, the park has increased its amount of greenery – making Century Park even more beautiful than before. Time to slip your trainers on and head down to the park for a run (or a walk). You have no excuses now!
