What you’ll learn Led by a professional guest bartender and Jing Republic chef, this lively afternoon teaches you to make three simple cocktails and three gourmet tapas dishes at home. You’ll also get a bit of schooling in Booze 101, learning about types of alcohol and distilling processes, tools and tricks of the trade, cooking and mixing techniques, ingredient substitutions, how to liven up basic drinks and more.

What’s on the menu? During our class, we made properly proportioned gin and tonics with our twists of choice (blackberry and thyme, rosemary and peach or orange and juniper); classic piña coladas and frozen Kahlua and espresso frappes.

Working off a light and fresh summer theme, we used smoked salmon, salmon tartar and salmon roe for three different tasty dishes.
