OneRepublic
We'd have told you sooner but it's now too late to apologise: OneRepublic is coming to Shanghai. 'Apologize', from their 2007 album Dreaming Out Loud became the anthem of many a broken-hearted high school ex, and since then the band has experienced uninterrupted success, being ever-present on the US Billboard Top 100.

Storm Electronic Music Festival
A Budweiser-backed, Shanghai-born and raised EDM event with a penchant for extra-terrestrial narratives. The line-up features basically any big name EDM star who hasn’t already been hoovered up by Ultra; KYGO, Marshmello, UZ, Axwell Ingresso, Mija and Laidback Luke are all on the bill. Interestingly though, they’ve also got The Chemical Brothers making their Mainland China debut.

Ultra Festival
Ultra, the internationally renowned electronic dance music festival, is coming to Shanghai for the first time. Confirmed acts so far are: Carl Cox, The Chainsmokers, Moti, Sasha + John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli and Curtis.

JZ Festival 2017
On the bill are the likes of Kool and the Gang, Andy Summers (former guitarist for The Police) and Chris Dave Drumhedz as JZ Festival returns to its regular stomping ground of recent years, the Expo Garden Park beside Mercedes-Benz Arena.

2017 UFC Fight Night Shanghai
UFC's first ever show in Mainland China rolls into Shanghai, with the MMA giant looking to finally establish a presence in the country. Expect a lot of Asian talent and homegrown stars having a chance to showcase their skills.

KFK Presents: Mark Normand
New York comedian Mark Normand – featured on the likes of Last Comic Standing and Inside Amy Schumer – is coming to Kung Fu Komedy for three headline shows. You’d be downright foolish to miss your chance to see him in action.

West Side Story
Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, it’s the tale of two teen gangs, the Sharks and the Jets as they battle for control of their New York neighbourhood. West Side Story may not quite be on the level of Bloods and Crips gang warfare, but it’s a wonderful tale that is widely regarded as one of the greatest musicals of all time.
