Al's Bakery

Bread Etc

Started by seasoned French-Israeli patissier Stephan Laurent, Bread Etc achieved seemingly overnight success in a city saturated with cafés. There’s not much like being greeted by the bountiful piles of freshly baked French bread and pastries as you walk through door of this modern bakery – not mention, it’s home to one of the tastiest plates of shakshouka around.

From Shanghai favourite, ever-popular Lost Heaven group, this chic but cosy French bakery and café on Julu Lu quickly won over our hearts and stomachs with its savoury, crusty loaves; sumptuous desserts and arguably the best cup of homemade hot chocolate in the city.
