THOUGHTS FROM THE PASTOR
Esther.9:1
Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king’s command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.
In the book of Esther, we clearly see God working behind the scene in the lives of individuals and in the affairs of nations.
We didn't see God's Name been mentioned in this book, but we see The Hand of God in action on behalf of His people.
sometimes in our lives we may not see the move of God as we expected, but that doesn't mean that God is inactive, God is always working in us, with us and for us.
When you don't see His Hands, trust His heart for you..
Trust In His Providence and faithfulness.
When the enemy of Mordecai and Jews was plotting their extamination, God was working behind the scenes in frustrating the works of their enemies .
We see The Hand of God interfering when Haman casted lot to determine the day and month to attack the Jews, but the lot fell toward the end of the year, there by giving the Jewish people enough time to prepare.
We saw how Haman was planning to Hang Mordecai, and the king was planning to honor Mordecai.
God was given the king sleepless night, which made the king to ask for the book of memory, from where he found out the good thing that Mordecai deed that was not rewarded. That made the king to decide to honour Mordecai while Haman was planning to humiliate Mordecai.
When your enemies are planning your downfall, God is working behind to lift you up.Even when it looks as if the nation is in the hands of evil people, God is still in control, protecting those who are His.
Although we may not understand everything happening around us, we must trust in God's protection and retain our integrity by doing right things.
Esther who risked her life by appearing before the king, became a heroine.
Mordecai who was effectively condemned to death, rose to become the second in command in the nation.
No matter how hopeless our conditions are, or how much we would like to give up, we need not despair, but remember that our God is still working out every thing for our good.
God is still in control of our life, and He is too faithful to fail.

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER
This Sunday we will be continuing our series titled, WOMEN OF EXPLOITS (SERIES ON WOMEN WHO WERE USED MIGHTILY BY GOD FOR EXPLOIT). we will be looking at some amazing God fearing women who did great things for God, and through God to increase his kingdom and show him Glory. Come this coming Sunday to learn about what these Great women have done.
This Sunday we will be looking at the life of Esther. We will see how she rose to power from being a Jew in captivity to being one of the most powerful Jewish women in the Old Testament. She went from living as a commoner to being the Saviour of her people. She did great thing for the Jews of her day and with God's as her provider and protector was able to free her people from the hands of Haman.
This Sunday's message is titled GOD WORKS BEHIND THE SCENES
Come this Sunday and see how God used Esther for greatness and see how he can use you for greatness too.
