FORGIVENESS
Genesis 50:19–20
19 But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
This Sunday, we will continue the FAVOR FACTOR as we examine the life of Joseph and focus on FORGIVENESS. What does it mean to forgive? What are the reasons for forgiveness? How can I give or receive forgiveness? Joseph could see the hand of God in his betrayal by his family and he made a choice to forgive. He declared “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today”. When we understand the hand of God in our lives in every circumstance, we will receive the grace to forgive easily.
Come this Sunday as we study together the life of Joseph and learn how to give and receive forgiveness.
