Dear AOM Family,
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I'm so happy to be part of this amazing family of God called AOM (Anointing Overflow Ministry). This scripture in Isaiah spoke so much to me as I reflected on the meaning of Christmas.
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14).
This Hebrew word Immanuel defines the core of Christmas. God is now with us. He is no longer far away but with us. The Word has become flesh and made His tabernacle amongst us. This is glorious! I'm so blown away by the thought that the God who made the heavens and the earth; the Almighty God who upholds all things by the power of His word, chose to be born as a baby in a barn and put in a manger (an animal feeding trough). He didn't wait for us to do our best and get to him because no one could achieve the righteous requirement of God. Rather, He came to us! God came to us.
Apostle John eloquently put it this way "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)" This is good news! This is Immanuel, God with us. We were hopeless before Immanuel arrived but now Jesus has brought HOPE of eternal life to us. We were without peace before Immanuel arrived but now He has given us PEACE that passes all understanding. We didn't have joy before His arrival but now we have JOY unspeakable. We felt unloving before the arrival of Immanuel, but now He has lavished His LOVE unpon us that we should be called the children of God. Hallelujah!
I pray that God will fill your life with HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE in this Christmas season. May you encounter an OVERFLOW OF HIS BLESSINGS upon your life and your family. We wish you a Merry Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season.
