LIVING IN THE LAND OF HOPE
Luke 24:13 – 35 (The Road to Emmaus)
The disciples on the road to Emmaus were already in the midst of an encounter with Jesus without even knowing it. They said, “We had hoped he was the one who was going to redeem Israel.” He presented himself with them in that place where they had lost hope. Their hearts went from despondency to a sense of burning within them. God is so intentional, he has already prepared an encounter for you, with his fire, in the midst of your hopelessness. He has made provision for you. One encounter with him and he displaces hopelessness with hope. Jesus showed up after Lazarus had been dead for 4 days, to bring the possibility of heaven to the impossibility of earth.
He is speaking to hopelessness in your heart with the fire of his presence. We encounter the burning one and become the burning ones. Hope is not a disappointing fantasy. We live from a place of his love poured out. The antidote to hope is not courage or positivity, it’s encounter with the love of God. Heis raising hope levels among us. Where you have allowed hopelessness to creep in, he is re-wiring your thought patterns, breaking disappointment off our lives. It’s his love. We were never abandoned, forgotten or rejected. He has always been there.He has already prepared an encounter for you in the midst of your hopelessness. We live from a place of overflow. The kingdom of God is within you.

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER
The Sunday is a special Sunday as we will be having guest Speaker. His name is Dave Child. Dave is on the eldership at Woodstock Community Church in Cape Town, South Africa. He is passionate about the church, the nation of South Africa and seeing people encounter Jesus. He enjoys leading people in times of prophetic encounters through preaching as well as his gift of prophecy. He will be delivering a prophetic message titled Living in the Land of Hope.
