GOOD FATHER
Luke 11:11–13 (NKJV)
11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Few weeks ago, we celebrated Mother’s Day and this Sunday we will be celebrating Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all the men! Most times, special celebrations like Father’s Day could create a lot of mixed feelings. Some are excited because they experienced an amazing childhood from a good father. However, some don’t look forward to Father’s Day because of abuses, disappointments, pains and neglects they suffered in their childhood. No matter your circumstances growing up, I have good news for you. There is a Father who is good. In fact, he is the definition of goodness. He loves you dearly. He is better than your earthly good father and way better than the father you never had. He is so good than He cannot be compared to the best father on earth.
As a father, I always strive to provide for my kids; love them; teach them; groom them; lead them; protect them; discipline them; pamper them; and so on. In my fallen nature, I know how to give good gifts to my children, how much more our heavenly Father. Our heavenly Father loves you so much that He can do more than the list above and in addition, fill you with His Holy Spirit. Just ask Him! He will give you. Wow! This is refreshing to know that I have a Good Father who can meet more than my physical and emotional needs to my deep spiritual needs. Jesus, revealed the Father to us. He is the radiance of the glory of God our Father and the exact imprint of His nature. I pray that you will receive a new revelation of the Good Father through encounter with His Spirit. Happy Father’s Day!

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER
This Sunday is a Special Sunday as we take the time to honour, admire and appreciate both our Fathers and Spiritual Fathers. This Sunday we will be looking at a topic titled, A GOOD FATHER. Our very own Father of AOM Church, Pst. Favour Ibom will be bringing the message.
There are many people today who find it difficult to say they have a GOOD FATHER and those that can are fortunate. The is one FATHER that is always GOOD and that is always there for us and He is God. He is our GOOD FATHER. As both Fathers and Spiritual Fathers we must emulate God as we raise up our children and spiritual children. We need to take action as men to be role models for them and show them same love and apprecation God has for us to them.
So come this Sunday as we celebrate the Men of AOM Church. Come ready to learn what is means to be a GOOD FATHER and what it means to have a GOOD FATHER.
