THOUGHTS FROM THE PASTOR
TETELESTAI
John 19:30 (NIV)
30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
This sentence “it is finished” is from one single Greek word “Tetelestai” meaning “paid in full”. Jesus paid the full price that was necessary to secure our victory. Hallelujah! I have been set free! Through the cross I have victory over sin and death; I have victory over satan and his agents; I have victory over the world; and I have victory over curses and sicknesses. This is good news. It is finished. Tetelestai! He bowed his head and gave up His spirit. They did not take his life from him. He laid it down on his own accord and he took it up on his own accord. Apostle John puts it this way: “For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.” (John 10:17–18). He laid down his life after he accomplished all that was needed to be done and He exclaimed Tetelestai!. As we celebrate the extravagant love manifested at the cross of Good Friday and the indescribable love revealed at the empty tomb of Easter Sunday, I pray that you will experience the complete victory we have through the love of Jesus.
Happy Easter!

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER

This Sunday AOM will be holding their Easter Celebration. This is a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. There will be a time of fellowship, singing, dancing and a time in the word. The Love of Jesus is both reckless and indescribable. It is hard to fathom how God could love us so much. We are sinful beings who do not always live up to God's expectations for our lives. We fall short of His glory (Rm. 3:23) and because our sin we have tarnished the image God originally created us in. However, He loved us so much that He sent His Son to be the sacrificial lamb and the atonement for our sin. This Sunday we will be looking at message titled "The Indescribable Love of Jesus". So come expectant to learn how much God loves you and open your heart to receive what He has in store for you. Invite your friends to join us as well for this special celebration.
