WHO IS BUILDING IN YOUR LIFE?
Psalm 127:1–2 (NKJV)
Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
This is a fundamental question that we must answer individually. Who is building your career, your ambitions and your dreams? Who is building your marriage or your relationships? Who is building your finances, your businesses and your investments? Who is building your spiritual walk, your future and your security? Are you the one who is building or is God the person who is building? It is crucial to make it crystal clear who is the pilot of the plane, the captain of the ship or the driver of the car. Are you holding the steering wheel or have you allowed God to be in charge? The Psalmist said, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it”. It is in vain for us to try to build anything without God. I don’t know what you are trying to build, but one thing that I know is that God must be in charge for it to succeed. Perhaps you are keeping awake like a watchman, experiencing sleeplessness because you are worried about your security and about your future. The bible says, “Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain”. Your worrying about the future cannot help you. Only God can!
This is the reason the psalmist said, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows”. You can work 24 hours every day and seven days of every week and there will be no success without God. God’s definition of success is different from human definition of success. God’s success is blessings without sorrow. Please note that God wants us to be diligent in what we do but He must be first in our lives. The litmus test to know who is building is the word “SURRENDER”. Have you surrendered that area to God or are you struggling to be in charge? When you surrender it to God, He will give you rest. The Psalmist said, “He gives His beloved sleep”. I pray that God will give you both success and rest in every area of your life as you surrender to Him.

Nehemiah 2:17
Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace. ”
A lot of times we see our nations in desolation. A lot of people get to power and then begin to dance to the drum of ungodly affairs which manipulate and destroy what they stand for. This ought not to be. Getting to power means you are out to fight a battle for the Lord to stand for righteousness and to stand for God. It is our responsibility as citizens of our respective nations and citizens of God's kingdom to rebuild and reshape our nations so that they can bring honour and glory to him. We no longer want to see our nations suffer, we want to see them flourish and be strong. We want to see people rise up and take a stand for what is right. We want to see people boldy go forth and REBUILD their nations.

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER
This Sunday the BICF family of Churches will be joining together in UNITY. We will be Meeting in the 21st Century Theatre in the upper Auditorium. This means there will be NO AOMChurch meeting on the 3rd Floor of the Hotel where we regularly meet. You can attend either the 9am service (bilingual) or the 11am service (English). Also this would be a great chance to support our worship team as they will be leading worship for both services.
