PRUDENCE
Proverbs 1:4 (NKJV)
4 To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
How many of you have ever gone to the web to search on how to do something, how to cook a specific food, how to bake something or how to fix something? There are millions of videos on YOUTUBE on how to do anything. Proverbs offers advice on every imaginable area of life. Practical wisdom for living is the central concern of the book of Proverbs. Proverbs often contrasts the benefits of seeking wisdom and the danger of living a fool’s life.
We must make choices in life. These choices will affect where we will arrive at tomorrow. Tell me what you are consistently doing today, and I will tell you where you will arrive in 10 years. There are laws that govern the universe. There are times, God will disrupt them, and we experience a miracle. We will be going through some of these laws in the next two and half months. These wisdom principles unlock God’s favor. We can define proverbs as God’s wisdom for us to attract His blessings and favor.
Come this Sunday as we look at the first wisdom nugget, PRUDENCE.
