THOUGHTS FROM THE PASTOR
ENCOUNTERING GOD’S GOODNESS
Psalm 34:8 (NIV)
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
This weekend is a very special weekend as we host the first AOM Encounter Conference. We are going to encounter the goodness of God in a whole new level. The bible says in this Psalm 34:8 that we can taste the goodness of God and we can see the goodness of God. The goodness of God can move from just a theological concept in our head to an experience detectable by our human senses. When the worst sinner encounters the goodness of God, he becomes saved. When the lukewarm Christian encounters the goodness of God, he is set on fire for God and becomes passionate for the gospel with his spiritual gifts activated for kingdom impact. When a sick person encounters the goodness of God, he is healed. When a church encounters the goodness of God, their community is transformed by the light of the kingdom as a city that is set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Encountering the goodness of God unlocks doors into the supernatural and the miraculous. I love this quote by Bill John of Bethel Church Redding California and I quote “His goodness is beyond our ability to comprehend, but not our ability to experience. Our hearts will take us whereour heads can’t fit.” I pray that you experience the goodness of God on a whole new level this weekend that will blow your mind and draw you into a deeper relationship with God. May you come with your heart open to experience the goodness of God.
Blessings,
Pastor Favour Ibom

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER

This Sunday we will conclude of ENCOUNTER CONFERENCE with looking at a message title "Encountering Jehovah Rapha". In Hebrew, Jehovah Rapha means "The Lord my Healer". When we encounter God and come to him he will change what is bitter in our lives and make it sweet as he did with the Israelites when they came to Marah. The water at Marah was bitter tasting and Moses at God's command tossed a log into the water and the water then turned sweet for the Israelites to drink. There was one additional thing that God had told the Israelites. If they listen to His voice and adhere to his commands he will not strike them with disease as he had done with the Egytians and he would heal them.
So come this Sunday and Encounter Jehovah Rapha. Seek His healing power and adhere to what it is he is asking you do. Also come expectant to receive the Anointing of God on your life and encounter his goodness.
