YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH
Matthew6:10
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
This is part of the prayer Jesus taught his disciples when they asked him to teach them to pray. In verse 10, Jesus taught to pray that the kingdom of God will come down. What is kingdom and what is the kingdom of God? Kingdom refers to the domain over which a king rules. Kingdom of God refers to the kingly rule of God in the lives of people and their circle of influence through Jesus Christ.
When His kingdom comes, His Will would be done on earth as it in heaven. In heaven there is no sickness, no rebellion against God, no captivity, no bondage, no lack and so on. Our citizenship is of heaven and we are ambassadors here on earth representing the agenda of heaven in advancing the kingdom of God as Jesus rules in the lives of people.
We do this by following the model of Jesus in Luke 4:18–19 and I quote “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
At this miracle service, we are going to believe God together for heaven to touch earth and the will of God to be done in the lives of people as it is heaven.
