THOUGHTS FROM THE PASTOR
OVERFLOW WITH HOPE
Romans 15:13 (NIV)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This is an exciting statement “overflow with hope”. You can so be filled with hope that you begin to overflow with hope. It is important for us to understand what is hope. Hope, in its general sense, is the anticipation of a future outcome. However, hope in God is a total grounding of one’s confidence and expectation in God’s goodness and providential care even in the face of trouble. Hope means more than a vague wish that something will happen. It is a sure and confident expectation in God’s future faithfulness and presence. The horizon of Christian hope extends beyond death into an eternity prepared by God himself, the reality of which is guaranteed by Jesus Christ.
To experience the overflow of hope, you must recognize that our God is a God of hope and He is faithful. This confident expectation in God’s future faithfulness is manifested when He fills you with His joy and peace which will enable you to trust in Him with your whole heart. It is from this vantage point that you can overflow in Hope. It is not possible by our sheer will power and determination. It is only possible by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. Do you feel hopeless? Have you been bombarded with the pressures of life that you are at the point of giving up? Perhaps, you have tried but now you are at the end of the line and you are about to throw in the towel. I have good news for you. You can overflow in hope once again! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, God is there with you and He is carrying you in His hands. I pray that God will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him through the power of the Holy Spirit to OVERFLOW IN HOPE.

SUNDAY SERVICE REMINDER
This Sunday we are pleased to have one of our esteemed elders of AOM share with us. His name is Darlington Tino. He has served on the AOM Leadership team in various capacities. He heads up our counselling team as well for the past two years has been faithfully devoted in helping serve as our overseer of the AOM Church Production team. We are so excited to have him speak to us today on the topic of DON'T LOSE HOPE, JESUS IS COOKING SOMETHING FOR YOU.
A lot of times we get so bogged down with the things of this world that we lose our focus. We lose our hope in Christ and have sense of low self-esteem. But God has big things cooking for you and wants you to rember what it is he has done for you thus far. When we reallign our focus back to Christ we will then see what it is he is cooking up fo us. God's wants to tell us DON'T LOSE HOPE.
So come expectant this Sunday with open and humble hearts to receive what it is God wants to say to you.
