THOUGHTS FROM THE PASTOR
TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS
2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV)
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
God is the potter and we are the clay that He has molded into vessels. A clay doesn’t ask the potter why you molded me into this form or that form. It is completely within the prerogative of the potter to mold each person differently. In life, we face challenges which breaks us or reveal our weaknesses. Sometimes, we make dumb decisions that break us. At other times, people around us do things that scar us in life.
However, God delights in using our weaknesses to display His greatness. God has deposited His treasure in us, the earthen vessels. This is completely counter intuitive. Normally, if something is a treasure, you put it in expensive vessels, you store them in secure lockers and safe locations, you guard them, but God did the exact opposite. He put His treasure in us, broken people to advance the kingdom of God. Wow!
I like the way NLT puts it and I quote “but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.” It bugs my mind to know that God can use a broken man like me. I want you to know that God can also use you.God wants to display the excellency of His power through you. We must always have this humble disposition that this great power at work in us is not of us but is of God who works in us both to will and to do. I pray that God will use you mightily as you declare your complete dependency on Him.

A NIGHT OF OVERFLOW
Psalms 65:11
You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.

in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying on your behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
Join AOM Church Friday, August 31st for A Night of Overflow. We will be meeting in the 21st Century BICF Offices in Rooms 800&900 from 11pm-5am.
THIS EVENT IS FOR FOREIGN ID HOLDERS ONLY
This will be a time to experience God's Overflow in our lives. We will begin to see an Overflow in our ministry, our jobs, our family, our relationships. Allow God this year to crown it with bounty, as you feel his anointing may you life be filled with: an overflow of joy, an overflow of peace, and an overflow of love. This Friday will be a time to expercience and encounter God in ways you have never experienced or encountered Him before. So come expectant to receive His Overflow upon your life. Come with and open heart ready to receive what it is He is wanting to say to you.
