According to a decision made on Friday by the State Council of China, employees nationwide will enjoy a four-day-long holiday from May 1 to 4 this year. As a reimbursement, the two Sundays before and after the holiday will serve as working days on the calendar.

In other words, two Sundays are combined to make a four day holiday together with the existing one day holiday that falls on May 1. The total number of holidays remains the same but instead of lots of little holidays, people get one long break.
About 20 minutes after the news was released, it became the hottest hashtag on micro blog sites, with many people hailing it as "the happiest decision made on Friday".
Tourism-related departments are urged to get fully prepared for transportation support and tour products supply to secure travelers a safer holiday.
And you know the Labor Day, used to be a seven-day break, was shortened to three days in 2007. But this news is still "the happiest decision made on Friday".
