Saraswati is female deity of creativity. She is venerated in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Artists, musicians, performers, composers, and singers across the Himalayan plateau worship her, invoke her magnetizing powers, recitate her resonanting mantras, meditate on her all-attracting image, in seeking to awaken the creative processess within their subconscious and pyschic platitudes that allow the creative artist or performer to tap into the pulse of social and natural transformation in harnessing the vibrational energies that will touch the hearts of audiences and inspired people to be in a sphere of peace. Sarswati is always depicted holding a sitar, the iconic South Asian stringed instrument known for its penetrating frequencies. In the Hindu tradition, Sarswati is the consort of Brahma, the God of Creation. In the Buddhist tradition she is the consort of Manjushuri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. She is the second of the Twenty-one Tara, a Dakini or feminine awakening spirit, and in a western conceptual context could be considered the original Muse. This album offers her Sadhana or ritual for visualization practice, and her mantra sung by Tibetan vocal artist Jiayang Lhamu to the all encompassing Deep Psych Rock of London based sonic voyager Dann Gaymer.
