‘Scratch night’ is a popular style of theatre night in the UK.
It is an opportunity for artists to test their work it in front of a live audience.
The evening therefore usually takes on a rough and ready approach with a few short plays by different artists all showing in one night.
‘Scratching Beijing’ is an experimental platform, that allows artists to cross different art forms, artists, musicians, writers, directors, dramatists, merging together to create new work that can ‘Scratches’ beneath the surface. It is growing into a bi-monthly event, as a space for creative heads to meet and begin something fruitful.
