CASA LATINA

Is an eclectic outfit performing a range of Latin, funky music ranging from cool Latin with a twist or smooth traditional, to funk sambas and more.  

The band will get you swaying, grooving and sometimes just listening. Grounded by the best young smooth and slap bassist in town and trumpet doubler in Peter Pachak-Robie (from New Mexico) and the versatile first call drummer Kevin (Paris, France), the pianist for all seasons who plays in all styles from classical to jazz doubling on saxophone - Rick Freeman (Melbourne Australia), and first call trombonist Matt Roberts (USA – China) who lights up any stage with his fantastic musicianship and passionate high energy solos. 

And to top it off the authentic and charming Latin singer Carolina Poblete from Chile, who sings in a range of Spanish, Portuguese and English. 

The quintet (and occasional guest artists) always find the right mix for an occasion, whilst challenging themselves, and stretching the audience’s aural palate at times with originals and surprises. Each member has an extensive performing experience and is a top musician in their own right bringing a wealth of experience and warmth to the stage.
