As summer is slowly leaving us, we can't do but fill our nights with awesome events trying to forget. So we have literally booked every single day of the month for you to enjoy the fantastic Beijing music scene and welcome the fall with fun and good vibes. Also, keep tuned because we are preparing our new seasonal menu and you can expect new cockails and more very very soon!

We start the month with a little latin party this SEPTEMBER SAT 1ST, as newcomers CUBAND hit again the stage when nights are still warm.
Right after, on SUN 2ND, enjoy one of our few SUNDAY JAZZ of the month with visiting jazz drummer DIMITRY STRELIANNY QUARTET. The following SUN 9TH will be seing another set by one of our favorite Chinese saxophone players SHI YUJI, before he heads back yo Europe for the winter season.
Also, if you like jazz, be aware that in September we will be holding quite few jazz concerts on THURSDAY as well, due to many Sunday nights being occupied by holidays. On THU 13TH, we will welcome for the first time the jazz fusion ensemble THE KWIZERA KAWN, while on THU 20TH we go back to the old times of Shanghai in the 1940s with a SHANGHAI QIPAO PARTY with live music. And, on THU 27TH, Japanese drummer SEIGO will be back on stage with his eclectic show.
Meanwhile, the first Thursday of the month, THU 6TH, helds the M2B DAKAR 2018 documentary screening by French artist NIKO DE LA FAYE, who will be story telling his summer African adventures in the long lasting geometrical tricyle.
And if you need something more upbeat, the weekends we have plenty of shows to offer as well. Rock band JOKER'S BELIEF and the funk masters REBEL 5 will make some good noise on FRI 7TH and SAT 8TH respectively, while FRI 14TH will see back electric folk band BETTER OFF ALIVE, playing along BANG BANG MARY.
Then on SAT 15TH the most awaited first show of the season by STEVIE MAC & THE MACDADDIES will certainly make us sweat and drink and dance like we haven't during the whole summer. But take it easy if you were planning to visit RUMBLE IN THE JUMBLE this month, as their September Hutong Market edition is planned for SUN 16TH starting from 12 PM.
The second half of the month will see a lot of extra shows due to the MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL and also the beginning of the OCTOBER GOLDEN WEEK.
We start with the fantastic THE ODD CABARET by INKO on FRI 21ST, a one time show in Modernista's classic cabaret set up for which you need to get advanced tickets.
Right after, we've got a fun SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER party thanks to the new disco band in town THE FLIP SIDE on SAT 22ND, and to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival on SUN 23RD, the most awaited come back of our favorite upbeat jazzy band PARAKEET, this time under a new name, THE MANTRAS.
As for the last week of September, we will be kicking off to a long week of shows starting on FRI 28TH with americana specialists GREAT BUFFALO BLUES, playing along ERIC ALLEN WOODSHED. On SAT 29TH we've got another big come back show as the queen of Beijing gypsy MADEMOISELLE ET SON ORCHESATRE is ready to have fun again spreading around some spicy French chanson for you all. As for SUN 30TH, Canadian songwriter EMBER SWIFT is again on stage to start celebrating the NATIONAL DAY with her mix of Western and Chinese fusion.
And on MONDAY OCTOBER 1ST, don't go anywhere because our hot house band SAVOR LATINO will be giving it all for a memorable LATIN NIGHT.
Also remember that our Latin Nights are held every Monday, with a BEGINNERS SALSA CLASS starting at 8.30 PM followed by the live band and a all night long MOJITO HAPPY HOUR
Finally, remember that our WEEKLY regulars WEDNESDAY SWING NIGHT, for the vintage hearts out there, and our live drawing event TUESDAY DRINK & DRAW are still on as usual for the whole of the month.
