Crispy air, blue skies, sweets and christmas decorations. Carols, candle lights and great food. December is finally at our doorstep and so most of us has already started to enjoy the beauty of the Beijing winter. If not, we at Modernista have put together a long list of Christmas wonders that we believe should be on everyones wishlist this year! As most of us start to look forward to the end of 2018 and all of the festivities that comes with it we at Modernista have some great shows and performances for the last days of December that will get you in the right Christmas mood! Starting ［THU DEC 20ND］ we invite ［Jing Sing Acapella Group］ to our stage! Let these talented singers astonish you with their joyful and elegant performance and get into the christmas spirit as their accapella song fills the rooms of Modernista!
老摩在本月特别筹划了一系列平日难得一见的演出，在圣诞节前后更是将圣诞气氛推向高潮！［12月20日周六］［Jing Sing Acapella乐团］将以美妙的歌声填充老摩，带你感受圣诞氛围。
This sweet performance is then followed by a ［The Mantras］ Christmas Jazz on the very evening of［ MON DEC 24TH］. Bring your closest ones and enjoy a christmas feast with us at Modernista as your getting swept away by the soulful Jazz tunes of The Mantras.
紧接着［12月24日周一］，跟着［THE MANTRAS］乐队踏入圣诞爵士夜！与最亲密的人一同沉醉在动人心魄的爵士旋律之中。
For many Christmas is an intense holiday that often is over before we've uttered the word "christmas tree" but don't worry! At Modernista we continue with the celebration on Christmas day as the corners of Modernista ones more becomes filled with the great sound of ［Flamenco］ music! Listen as the plocking of their guitar fills the corners of Modernista and open yourself to the musical stories told from another world and another era ［DEC 25TH TUE 9PM］.

As we get closer to the end of 2018 we can feel the atmosphere changing and the mood shifting away from the warm and comfortable feelings of christmas to the high expectations of the New Year. To match your expectations we've therefore arranged for a Christmas performance bound to wake you up from the slumber as the Ladies of the ［Moonglow Burlesqus］ takes the stage of Modernista ［DEC 29TH SAT 10PM］! Don't miss out as they will put on a show unlike any other!
走过圣诞，我们将献上一场你从未体验过的香艳跨年前奏！从美国禁酒期末端的20世纪30年代，到现代电影《芝加哥》的戏剧冲突，再融入性感的爵士百老汇，［12月29日周六］一群仿佛从1930年代走出的妖娆女郎们踏上老摩的舞台，带来［复古歌舞秀：月光之城1930］！
All of a sudden we've reached the end of 2018! And this deserves not only one but many［cocktails］! Join us for the party of the year as we´ve invited［ Stevie Mac and the Mac Daddies ］to help us make sure that we will be dancing into the New year of 2019! Because it it New Years Eve and because we love feathers we've also decided that for this evening we will decorate Modernista ［Great Gatsby style］! Let yourself get inspired by the roaring 20s, put your best suit on and you finest shoes, grace your hair with feathers and delecate headbands but most importantly make that flapper dress dance! Although the end of December is filled with festvities hard to match. We have an enitre month to enjoy musical treats that should will get you started. When it comes to Jazz we start of December by inviting the ［South korean Jazz Trio van Plein］. Currently on their China tour, we welcome them to the stage of Modernista to share with us their creation of sophisticated and playful Jazz. Don't miss out, come enjoy their performance with us［DEC 6th THU 9PM］ and let the flowy sound of van Plein tickle your senses!
除了为两个重大节日准备的轮番好戏之外，12月还有这些演出值得期待！关于爵士，我们请到韩国而来不可错过的好音乐！当代爵士乐的元素与现代摇滚和流行音乐相结合的［VAN PLEIN爵士三重奏］，北京站巡演将在［12月6日晚9点］来到老摩。他们用新专辑记录表达对不同人的印象，并通过音乐再将这些印象传达给每一个听众。这晚来音乐里找自己吧！
If Jazz is what you´re looking for the following Sunday will also be one of experimental yet sophisticated tunes as we´ve invited the talented musicians of ［Victor Bastidas Jazz Quartet］. Come treat yourself to a great dinner, tasty cocktails and some Jazz as this mix of talented and experienced Jazz musicians will put together for us a wonderful Jazz performance［SUN DEC 9TH 8:30PM］.
［12月9日周日晚8点半］周日爵士之夜，老摩呈现地道的［拉丁美洲爵士乐］！错综复杂的结构、恰到好处的融合和有趣的节奏，今晚我们用另一种世界通用的音乐语言交流！
Come again［ SUN DEC 16TH8.30PM ］we invite ［Prototype Jazz Quartet ］to the stage of Modernista! Listen to the combination of Pierre Pradat on keyborard, Daren Burns on bass, Zhang Jing on guitar and Edward Barroetabena's on drums. Put on your favourite sarf, defy the cold and join us at Modernista for some great music!

If you are still hungry for more jazz we advise you to not miss our Jazz Sunday's as we have talented Jazz players from Beijings Jazz scene coming to us every Sunday. This I no exeption for the last to Sunday's in December as ［SUN DEC 23RD］ we will host ［Nat Gao and his fellow Jazz players ］as well as ［XU Peng and his trio ］the last Sunday this year［ DEC 30TH 8.30PM］!

And［SAT 22ND DEC］we welcome back another familiar face to the stage of Modernista, musician and composer ［Ember Swift］! Combinig western and eastern styles she never fails to surprise us with her muscal creativity!
［12月21日周五］地地道道的美式布鲁斯：［THE GREAT BUFFALO BLUES大水牛］壮丽登场！疯克、布鲁斯、灵魂、雷鬼的奇幻组合，会让你沉溺在他们充满感情又附有个人色彩的节奏和歌曲中。今晚将是一个身体律动无一刻可停的夜晚！而［12月22日周六］［国子玉与乐队］将以她独特的艺术天分，为我们呈现一场东西方文化碰撞的奇妙反应！
If you´re the kind that is looking for something in the more experimental direction we can advice you to come see ［Grand 8 ft. Pobloid］ ［DEC 13TH FRI 9PM］! Listen to their instrumental meditation as "an echo of a trumphet in the silence of the universe and meticulous drum machines" takes you away. Join us for this musical as well as visual journey as the band combines their music with visual art. Another known for his experiments and creatice skills is ［Djang San ］who on the ［27TH DEC］comes back to Modernista with his Solo performance Djang San as Bob Dupont! In the midst of all the crazyness don´t forget our regular events at Modernista! Savor Latino will accompany us on Monday's to make sure that we keep the tradition of Latin Mondays, surrounded by friends, mojitos and great music.
