What is Rumble in the Jumble
这是一个什么样的集市？
Every month we hold a “jumble sale,” but with Beijing characteristics.
Rumble in the Jumble 是一个二手/手工商品集市。
The Cambridge English dictionary defines a Jumble Sale as;
“a sale of a mixed collection of things that people no longer want.”
But we, at Rumble in the Jumble, believe that this definition doesn’t do justice to the concept. Therefore, we’d like to redefine it as;
“a sale of a mixed collection of every thing you’ve ever wanted”
剑桥英语辞典定义“Jumble Sale”是一个售卖二手闲置物品的集市，但是在Rumble in the Jumble集市，我们超越了这个简单定义，我们是“一个能满足您各种购物需求的集市”。

Rumble in the Jumble returns this May 19th with a celebratory market event in honor of the Buddha's Birthday! Join us at the fabulous Modernista, and enjoy a tasty beverage while you browse the merchandise of the most harmonious collection of makers, crafters, and doers in Beijing!
今年5月19日，为了纪念佛诞生日，我们将举办庆祝活动！加入我们的美妙 Modernista 在北京浏览最和谐的制造商，工匠和实干家的商品时，享用美味的饮料！
Satya Yuga Holistic Center will be joining us to present you with their beautiful handmade healing orgonites, soy candles and natural make-up. They are a Beijing based yoga studio, which also holds workshops in natural cosmetics, candles and orgonites.

Today, we introduce Sarah, with her brand Tsepparel. In the course of Sarah’s travels in Asia, she has made a point of familiarizing herself with some of the human rights issues that she has encountered. Tseparrel, which stands for The Social Experiment Apparel, sells T-shirts which represent some of these issues. At the moment, Sarah has four designs, which represent Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. Tseparrel is Sarah’s way of bringing awareness and education on these issues to people. And, with each purchase, 30% of the profit goes towards the Human Rights Watch organization

Flow Atelier is a handmade accessory studio based in Beijing. Although they are new to Beijing, they create something special and unique for everyone. They use very simple techniques with very special materials such as dried flowers, gold strips and colorful confetti in their earrings. They also have a postmodern style, which will give you a unique look this summer. Rumble is very excited to have Flow Atelier joining us for the first time!

Also make sure to check out the Rumble Booksellers stall. It’s a community stall in which anybody can participate. The books available range from fiction to non-fiction to educational, Chinese to English to French to Swahili (Okay, I don’t know if there will actually be any Swahili books, but if somebody wants to sell them, they can!) Be sure to come and have a browse.

It costs 10kuai to be part of the stall. Books must be dropped off at the venue on the day of the sale before the sale starts.
您只需交10元钱来参与售书，在当天集市开始之前把您想售卖的书籍带来交到二手书摊位就可以了。
