One of our favorite Beijing based original jazz projects, PROTOTYPE JAZZ TRIO, is back to the stage of Modernista. Lead by drummer Eduardo Barroetabena, this creative band explores Latin Jazz and Afro Jazz rythms, combining Barroetabena's Cuban percussion expertise with Daren Burns' bass and the delicate melodies of Michal Ciesielski's piano.
我们的最爱之一，原创爵士乐队Prototype三重奏要回老摩的舞台啦，由鼓手Eduardo Barroetabena领衔，这只创意十足的乐队将会带你一起探索拉丁和非洲爵士节奏，将Eduardo的古巴打击乐与Michal Ciesielski优美的钢琴以及Darens Burns的贝斯结合在一起。
MICHAL CIESIELSKI
PIANO 钢琴
Composer, arranger and jazz pianist. He completed his studies in the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he received his master’s degree as a jazz composer and jazz pianist. He also studied for a year in the Institut of Jazz in Katowice.
音乐创作人，爵士钢琴家，毕业于格但斯克音乐学院（波兰），获爵士音乐硕士学位，主攻爵士编曲和爵士钢琴。同时在卡托维兹爵士学院（波兰）进修一年。
He has composed almost one hundred compositions (contemporary music, film and theatre music, chamber and symphonic music as well as pop songs and many more). He was awarded in several international and national music competitions such as: the International Krzysztof Komeda Composition Competition, Big Sky Jazz Festival, RCK Pro Jazz Festival, School & Jazz Festival and more.
麦克曾经创作了近百首现代音乐，电影音乐和流行音乐等等，也获得了诸如：“克日什托夫·科米达”国际编曲大赛，“大天空”爵士节，“RCK专业爵士节”，等等。
As a pianist Michał toured all around Poland as well as Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Nederlands, Russia, China and Kazakhstan.
DAREN BURNS
BASS 贝斯
Daren Burns is a composer and bassist from Los Angeles, California, and is currently residing in Beijing, China where he teaches music. An adventurous player, Daren has had an extensive career playing with many notable musicians such as: Mike Vax, Jack Petersen, Vinny Golia, Wadada Leo Smith, Spencer Day, Mike Keneally, and many others.
Daren Burns是一位来自加州洛杉矶的作曲家和贝斯手，目前居住在中国北京，教授音乐。作为一名富有冒险精神的演奏家，Daren 与许多著名的音乐家有过广泛的合作，如：Mike Vax, Jack Petersen, Vinny Golia, Wadada Leo Smith, Spencer Day, Mike Keneally, and many others 等等。

Eduardo (Edward) Barroetabeña is from Las Tunas, Cuba. His ability, virtuosity, and versatility allowed him to play and shared stage with prestigious musicians and bands: Afro Cuban All Stars, Chucho Valdes, Wynton Marsalis, David Sanchez, Stefon Harris, Christian Scott, Jose Luis Quintana (Changuito), Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Emilio Morales, Amadito Valdez, Mayito Rivera (Los Van Van), Laurent Couson, Enrique Lazaga, Gary Lucas, Kash Killion, Jane Bunnette, Alex Acuña, Melvis Santa, and many others.
