Beijing's rock and roll legend, Ravages, is calling it quits after facing life-threatening injuries, covid lockdowns, and member departures. But before they bid farewell, they plan to go out with a bang at Modernista on June 3rd. Join them along with Pizza Face and ADDJ's all-vinyl DJ set for a night of high-energy rock, punk, and psych. This will also mark the launch of their double A-side split EP with Pizza Face, available on a limited run of hand-crafted cassette tapes. ABOUT THE ARTISTS
RAVAGES
Fuzz trash scoundrels RAVAGES – featuring members of Boss Cuts, SHA!, Poetry x Music and the Slow Blade – were founded in 2020 in Beijing, China. Drawing upon garage and psych sounds of the 1960s, RAVAGES released their debut album in 2021, a “psychedelic roller coaster ride coated in layers of fuzz, driving organ riffs and mischievous fun” (Live China Music). The album is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and all Chinese music platforms.
他们应该被称作“法兹垃圾恶棍”才对，可他们偏偏管自己叫RAVAGES.成立于2020年，RAVAGES由Boss Cuts、SHA!、Poetry x Music、the Slow Blade里面几位特别费油的灯所共同组建，乐队在2021年刚刚发行了自己的首张专辑，充满了1960年代garage 及psych sounds的混合风格，Live China Music将其形容为“一次过云霄飞车般的迷幻之旅，沿途裹满了法兹噪音、停不下来的管风琴和有害人畜的下流Fun”。本专辑现已在Spotify/Apple Music/Bandcamp以及所有国内音乐平台上架。
PIZZA FACE
PizzaFace is a band that defies categorization. Their name is a nod to both their unique appearance and their commitment to being a positive force in the world. They bring together waltz-like dream pop and punk to create incendiary bomb music that will keep you up all night. The band consists of four members whose uncontrollable ideas come together to form something truly special. With over 180 performances, including appearances at prestigious festivals like Strawberry Music Festival and Midi Music Festival, PizzaFace has become a force to be reckoned with in the Chinese music scene. They independently produced and released their EP "Blade and Wings" on January 1st, 2020, and followed it up with a national tour of 16 stops. Their hard work has paid off, as they've received the LPA Independent Music 2019-2021 Most Promising Punk Band Award and the 2021 SCHOOL Best Live Band Award.
PizzaFace是披萨脸也是菩萨脸。是一颗偏离轨道的甜味燃烧弹。是长痘痘的失眠夜，也是决定不管生活怎样都要笑着讲出来，永远敢说“就不”的勇气。是一个把华尔兹样Dream-pop注射进朋克音乐的人乐队。是四个人分裂出无数个失控想法，也是合并为一。至今共演出180余场。包括草莓音乐节、迷笛音乐节、影响城市之声音乐节、木马音乐节等。
2020年1月1日独立制作发行EP《刀锋羽翼》；
2020年进行全国巡演，16站。
曾获LPA独立音乐2019-2021最具潜力朋克乐队奖、2021年SCHOOL年度最佳现场乐队奖。
ADDJ
ADDJ was born and raised in NYC. He hosted the punk/indie rock show “The Big Takeover”. Upon his return to Brooklyn, he continued to hound and pester bar- and club-goers with his particularly noxious cocktail of punk, garage rock, funk, soul, afrobeat, hip hop and reggae until they booted him out of the country. His hobbies include digging for vinyl, film, literature and monkeys.
现居北京的美国人ADDJ 在纽约长大，他这几年在北京参加无数的活动。曾经主持过朋克/独立摇滚表演" The Big Takeover "。回到布鲁克林后, 他用他多变的音乐风格持续吸引着酒吧和Club的观众，其中涵盖了从朋克、车库摇滚、放克、灵魂、电音、嘻哈和雷鬼的多种风格。他的爱好包括收藏黑胶, 电影和文学, 猴子。
