去年8月，Farm to Neighbors（从农场到邻居）农夫市集在宝钞胡同的摩登尼斯塔（前译老摩）酒吧开办，当时只有三四个的摊位，三个月后变成十多个摊位，到了11月底，正苦恼酒吧快装不下我们的时候，老摩的掌柜兴奋地告诉我好消息：酒吧要扩张了！于是，等待老摩装修的这期间，我们在东城区的天井越洋文化交流中心举办了的圣诞市集，又在百米粒扎营两个周日，之后在肆角餐吧固定举行，每个周日，市集的顾客跟着我们从湖南菜吃到西式越南菜，乐不可支，但不时还会有人问我：何时回老摩？
When Farm to Neighbors started our first farmers' market in Modernista on Baochao Hutong last Auguest, we only had two or three vendors. 3 months later, we had more than ten. By the end of November, just as Modernista was starting to get too crowded for the market, the owner came to me with great news: they are expanding! So for Sundays in between their temporary closedown for construction, Farm to Neighbors traveled in Dongcheng District, to Culture Yard to host a holiday Christmas market, to Nice Rice for two pop-up markets. Then, we settled at 4Corners until Spring came. Our customers followed our foot steps along the way to enjoy the best Hunnan restaurant and Vietnamnese fusion food in the neighborhood. But once in a while, I still get asked: when are we going back to Modernista?

等了5个月，我们终于要回到老摩这一神奇的地方！夜晚，这个复古的欧式老酒吧充满着热情的音乐和跳舞的人群，而到了周日，一个健康的农夫市集像阳光一般撒进，带来新鲜采摘的有机种植蔬菜、水果、杂粮，手工法式奶酪和面包，农场散养的肉类和鸡蛋，北京最好的酸奶，正宗的自制印度咖喱和甜辣酱，手工自制的培根，传统工艺酿制的米酒，野生的蜂蜜和天然的手工护肤品等等。老摩的意大利主厨也利用市集上新鲜的食材为大家制作早午餐，新的老摩感觉就像一个欧式别墅，不同主题的房间让你穿梭在市集和富有异国风情的咖啡馆／酒吧／餐厅之间。
After 5 months of anticipation, we are finally back to this breath-taking venue. At night, Modernista is crowded with live music and people dancing. But when Sunday morning rolls around, a bustling farmers market fills the rooms like morning sun, with fresh organically-grown vegetables, fruits and whole grains, farm pasture-raise meats and eggs, homemade French breads and cheese, the best yogurt you will find in Beijing, authentic Indian curries and chutney, homemade bacon, traditional rice wines, raw honey, natural handcrafted skincare and more. Modernista's proud Italian chef also takes fresh ingredients from the market to make a special Sunday brunch menu. The new Modernista is like a magic old-world mansion, where you can get lost in the different rooms among the market, cafe and restaurant.

Farm to Neighbors was started by Erica Huang, who believes in the nurturing and healing potentials of real food for the well-being of our mind and body. She used to chase after the Beijing Country Fair every week which was far and inconvenient to get to. When she realised he neighborhood is long overdue for it's own farmer’s market, she started to organize one every Sunday at Modernista. Farm to Neighbors was created to serve the local community by providing easier access to better quality foods.
