Hidden City Game is bringing people from all around.
Trumpets trump and banjos bang.
Singer’s swinging with the band.
They’re strumming on the washboard and blowing on the kazoo.
They’re dancing in the hutongs and maybe you should too.
Note: This event was originally scheduled for 22-November and due to predictions of bad weather was moved to 6th December.
THE GOAL
The goal is to discover the secrets of Beijing complete the activities, use clues in the street or historical sites to check-off answers, and return to the target location on time. We have thousands of yuan in prizes for teams that win the most points or work the most efficiently, plus the coveted Masters Cup.
WHO?
Whether you’re new to Beijing, already group of friends, a couple looking for something special, or a family enjoying time together: the Hidden City Game is right for you. You don’t actually need to be athletic – you just need to walk, look about and have fun. If you’ve never played before, become an Explorer, but if you need to turn uplate become a Rusher.
Teams are of 2, 3 or 4 people, but we can organize individual arrivals to form new teams, so it’s the perfect way to make new friends.
THE LEVELS
We have three Game levels, so one will be right for you.
Explorers Game with a relaxing pace and focused on having fun walking around hutongs. If you are a first-timer or have a family, you’ll love this format. There are no time penalties, so come early to see more, or be a Rusher and come just for a short time. The choice is yours.
A Masters Game, for our experienced teams who seek the thrill of a highly challenging, competitive event, with the Master’s Cup as the grand prize.
Whether you’re an Explorer, Rusher or Master, you’ll still be out discovering new, hidden hutongs and rising to the challenges ahead.
Most importantly, we keep cranking up the pure fun, so build your team with old friends, or come as you are and we’ll put you in a team.
WHEN?
See you on Sunday, 6th December 2015
Explorers, including new players,come at 1 – 2 pm**
Masters, undertaking thefull-competition, start at 2 – 2:30 pm
Rushers can come from 2:30 pm – 3:30pm
*the earlier you arrive, the more time you have to explore.
HOW LONG?
Explorerscan explore for 2 - 3 hours. Rushers can rush about for less than 2 hours. Masters play a precisely timed game of 2.5 hours. We will finish at about 5:00pm, and prizes will be announced at 6pm.

HOW MUCH?
Price is 70 RMB, including free refreshments at the finish line. Children under 1.4m tall play for free.
